It started out like any other Thursday. I went to my weekly OB appointment with 2 weeks left until my due date. My appointment was early in the morning before work, so it wouldn’t interrupt my workday as I wanted to wrap things up before my maternity leave. Little did I know things were about… Continue reading 38 Weeks, Part 1
After that initial appointment, my OB sent me to Labor & Delivery (which I’m used to calling L & D as my mom is an L & D nurse) triage to monitor my high blood pressure. There was a lot of self-reflection while waiting 2 hours as they monitored my and my baby’s heart.

My husband isn’t a talker, but when he does say something, it’s usually something wise.
When I learned I had to give birth 2 weeks earlier than my due date, I still had a long list of things I wanted to do before the baby’s arrival. That said, I’m not sure why I thought doing my taxes was such a high priority. 😂
There was a lot to do the day before the induction (including a li’l retail therapy for myself). The day felt like a calm before the storm. I was most thankful that my mom was able to make it in time for my induction. *Note: There’ll be no webcomic next week as I’m on vacation.… Continue reading Day Before Induction
